Abstract
Objectives: Characterize the oral health and care-seeking behaviors of Syrian refugees in Jordan and assess the association between dental services provided and oral health status. Methods: Analyzed clinical records of 444 patients receiving dental treatment over 9 months. Results: Pain was the most common complaint (73.0%), with extractions comprising 54.5% of treatments, mostly due to dental caries. Limited follow-up led to single procedures for 63.3% of patients. Conclusion: Syrian refugees face significant oral health challenges due to poor living conditions and limited access to oral healthcare. Urgent targeted dental services are needed to address this population's needs. Further research on global refugee populations and tailored interventions is essential for improving their oral health.
