Abstract
This study assessed color accuracy in dentistry under different lighting conditions and operator backgrounds. Results showed low accuracy (5.5% in natural light, 9.7% in Trueshade), especially in chroma identification. Technicians had the most accurate assessments, with translucency being the least accurately recorded. Agreement was better with Trueshade lighting. Overall, operators had limited agreement and poor accuracy in assessing shades, with potential for improvement using tools like Trueshade.
