Abstract
Summary: A study at the University of Kuwait explored female students' willingness to receive HPV vaccination and its link to general vaccine conspiracy beliefs (VCBs). Among 611 respondents, only 56.9% were aware of HPV, with 9.2% reporting HPV vaccine uptake. 69.8% were willing to accept free HPV vaccination, while 20.1% were hesitant and 10.1% resistant. VCB endorsement was associated with higher odds of vaccine hesitancy/resistance. Reasons for hesitancy included underestimating HPV risks, lack of confidence in vaccination, and inconvenience. The study underscores the negative impact of VCBs on HPV vaccination intention among female university students in Kuwait, emphasizing the need to address these beliefs in promoting HPV vaccination for cancer prevention.
