Abstract
Summary: A study in Jordan assessed the attitudes of nurses and physicians towards monkeypox (Mpox) vaccination and compulsory vaccination for COVID-19, influenza, and Mpox. Of the 495 respondents, deficiencies in Mpox knowledge were noted, with lower scores among nurses and females. 28.9% intended to receive Mpox vaccination, while 33.3% were hesitant and 37.8% resistant. Vaccine acceptance was linked to previous vaccination behavior and psychological determinants, not Mpox knowledge. Neutral attitudes were observed towards compulsory vaccination, with favorability linked to higher 5C scores and prior vaccination uptake. The study highlights the importance of addressing psychological factors and previous vaccination behaviors in promoting vaccination among healthcare workers for future disease outbreaks.
