Abstract
Summary: This study examined university students' attitudes and usage of ChatGPT in Arab countries. A survey of 2240 participants revealed that factors influencing positive attitudes and usage included ease of use, positive attitude towards technology, social influence, perceived usefulness, behavioral/cognitive influences, low perceived risks, and low anxiety. The "TAME-ChatGPT" instrument was validated for assessing ChatGPT adoption. Results highlighted the significance of factors such as country of residence, age, university type, and academic performance in shaping attitudes. Successful integration of ChatGPT in higher education hinges on factors like ease of use, perceived usefulness, positive attitude towards technology, and tailored policies considering individual contexts.
