Abstract
The impact of social media on students' cognitive abilities is significant, with some using it to explore new ideas and others to solve academic problems. While social media can be an excellent resource for finding further information, it can also distract from learning. To investigate its impact on graduate students’ cognitive abilities, the current study involved undergraduate students University of Jordan sity using semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire survey to assess the participants' attitudes and perceptions of social media usage. Thematic analysis was employed to code the data into different themes and graphically present them in mind maps, whereas the Mann-Whitney U test was implied for the survey data to differentiate the mean ranking of male ands
